- Hi I'm Sonya, I have been know to; teach permaculture, keep bees, save seeds, get vocal about local food, make soap, set up and run the odd community group or two and create a whole lot of other things all while living on a small farm in Queensland with my partner John. We grow organic herbs, salad greens, vegetables, flowers, fruits, nuts and even coffee. We raise laying hens, native bees and honey bees. We're part of our local Transition Town and seed saving, permaculture and Permablitz groups. I'm a qualified permaculture teacher, part of local community and school garden and food networks and have a Certificate in Sustainable Agriculture and Advanced Permaculture Principles.
